Make sure to bring decent footwear as it can be very muddy
1) From the car park head into Nidd Gorge, follow the main path down the hill to the river, and head over the wooden bridge.


2) Turn right after the bridge and continue following the river for approximately 2KM head up a steep embankment with wooden steps/board walk that leads into what looks like a small gully.
3) Follow the path overlooking famers fields until you come to a Tarmac lane with a metal gate, go through the gate and turn left down the lane and you will find the Gardeners Arms on your left a short way down the lane.

Note: This is a Sam Smiths Pub, so there are Rules regarding Electronics not being used on premise, ask onsite regarding rules.
4) Looking out from the Pub head left up Bilton Lane.
5) Continue on this lane, passing Bilton Caravan park and Bilton Pet Hotel, until you see a public footpath sign, head left off Bilton lane and back into Nidd Gorge.
6) Follow the well-trodden path back down to the river, looking out for Otters and King Fishers.
7) Continue on the river path until you reach the wooden bridge you first crossed earlier in the walk.
8) Head back up to the car park.
