Caution: Limestone is slippery when wet.

Start) – The Malham Visitors Centre
- Starting at Malham Visitor center turn left from the car park and follow the road through the village keeping Malham Beck to your right.
- Follow the signposts for Malham cove.
- Once you’re just out of the village head through the gate on your right.
- Continue up the well maintained path to Malham Cove.
- Head up the stairs on your left.
- Continue to the top of the limestone pavement and walk across it, some of the stones do move, so watch your step.
- Pass through the gate, following the footpath, East a short way then Southeast until you reach Tarn Rd.
- Cross the road and go through the gate directly Infront of you.
- Follow the footpath sign Gordale 3/4ml continue on this path until you reach another road, the road is Gordale Lane, there is often a refreshments van located here in the Layby, but don’t count on it.
- Turn right and follow the road a short way until you reach the sign “Janet’s Foss” with the footpath sign to Malham.
- Go through the gate and follow the path through the trees, and keep an eye out for the waterfall “Janet’s Foss” on your left.
- Continue on this main path all the way back to Malham, keep an eye out for herons.
